May 2016:

Christopher J. Couch was selected for CityBusiness Magazine's 2016 Leadership in Law class. As a third time honoree, Chris was inducted into the Leadership in Law Hall of Fame.    

April 2016:

Christopher J. Couch and Benjamin G. Lambert spoke to students at their Alma Mater, Brother Martin High School, on Avoiding The Debt Trap, a presentation developed by NARCA, The National Creditors Bar Association.

October 2015:

Blake J. Guidry successfully passed the La Bar Exam and was sworn in by the Louisiana Supreme Court.

Autumn Chastain joins Firm as an Associate Attorney in the Tennessee office.

September 2015:

Benjamin G. Lambert named CCB Partner.

Blake J. Guidry joins Firm as an Associate Attorney in the New Orleans office.

May 2015:

At the NARCA Spring Conference, Couch, Conville & Blitt received the 2015 Compliance Award from Credigy.  The award recognized the Firms commitment to compliance in its overall operations.

Anna Alvarado spoke at the NARCA Attorney Spring Conference- IT Compliance: Benchmarking Your Firm Against Best Practices, which was held in Nashville.

October 2014:

Couch, Conville & Blitt named one of NARCA's 2014 Community Service Award Winners.

Jeremy Nusloch joins Firm as an Associate Attorney in the New Orleans office.

Randall Roth joins Firm as an Associate Attorney in the New Orleans office.

August 2014:

Katie B Sanders joins Firm as an Associate Attorney in the Alabama office.

May 2014:

Christopher J. Couch and Anna Alvarado spoke at the NARCA Attorney Spring Conference- Managing Expenses in the New Normal, which was held in Miami.

Anna Alvarado was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of CCB.

Ben Lambert was promoted to Director of Legal Operations for CCB.

April 2014:

CCB celebrates their one year anniversary since acquiring the Houston office.

Malea Higdon successfully passed the Mississippi Bar Exam and was sworn in by the Mississippi Supreme Court.

February 2014:

Christopher J. Couch published an article in the NARCA newsletter- Leadership= Digging Deep When Challenges Arise.

January 2014:

Christopher J. Couch spoke at the NARCA Attorney Workshop- Managing Expenses in the New Normal, which was held in New Orleans.

November 2013:

Remy F. Symons joins Firm as an Associate Attorney in the New Orleans office.

October 2013:

Sarena Y. Gaylor successfully passed the La Bar Exam and was sworn in by the Louisiana Supreme Court.

On October 1, 2013, CCB received its 2013 SSAE 16 SOC 1 Report. This is the 2nd consecutive year the Firm has received a Compliant Report.

September 2013:

August 2013:

May 2013:

Christopher J. Couch spoke at the NARCA Attorney Spring Conference - Preparing for the “New Normal” Compliance Environment—Keeping Ahead of the Audit Curve which was held in Las Vegas.

April 2013:

Mr. Shawn R. Redman joins Firm as a Senior Litigator in the Houston, Texas office.

On April 1, 2013, Couch, Conville & Blitt acquired the legal collection practice of Hull & Associates, P.C., a Houston, Texas based law firm. The expanded geographical footprint will allow CCB to provide a broader range of legal services to its current clients.

Mr. James N. Hull joins Firm as a Senior Litigator in the Houston, Texas office. Mr. Hull brings over 30 years of Texas litigation experience to the Firm.

March 2013:

Christopher J. Couch participated in a panel session for the 2013 National Collections & Credit Risk Conference. The panel session topic was Meeting the New Agency/Vendor Management Regulatory/Control Requirements.

February 2013:

Christopher J. Couch had an article published in the NARCA newsletter regarding Leadership in the "New Normal" Regulatory Environment.

As a sign of the Firm's momentum and commitment to its clients' needs in the State of Alabama, CCB has rooted its law practice even further into Alabama with the recent move into its new office building.

Bradley J Chauvin was selected by New Orleans Magazine as one of the Top Lawyers in New Orleans, Louisiana.

September 2012:

Bradley J Chauvin named CCB Partner.

CCB received its SSAE 16 Soc1 Certification. This Certification demonstrates the Firm's commitment to providing compliant legal services to the Financial Services Industry. Service Organization Controls are a series of accounting standards that measure the control of financial information for a service organization. They are covered under the SSAE 16 professional standards. SOC 1 reports are examination engagements undertaken by a service auditor to report on controls at an organization that provides services to user entities when those controls are likely to be relevant to user entities' internal control over financial reporting.

AGL Architecture and Interior Design was recognized at the International Interior Design Association, Delta Regional Chapter Awards Gala 2012, in the category of Corporate-Large Design for the offices of Couch, Conville and Blitt, LLC.

August 2012:

Couch, Conville & Blitt hosted an inaugural Legal Collection Strategy Summit at its New Orleans Office on August 23rd and 24th.

June 2012:

As previously announced, Christopher J. Couch was selected to participate in the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute 2012 Leadership Program. He graduated from the program, and is now a member of the NORLI class of 2012.

May 2012:

Christopher J. Couch was appointed as the Council Exploring Chairman for the Southeast Louisiana Council for the Boy Scouts of America. In this role, he will direct the expansion and growth of the Learning for Life Exploring Program, which partners businesses with young men and women who are interested in "real life" career experiences.

April 2012:

Christopher J. Couch was appointed as the Chairman of the Leadership Development Committee for the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys. The National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (NARCA) is a national trade association dedicated to serving law firms engaged in the business of consumer debt collection. NARCA's Mission is to preserve and protect the integrity and viability of legal collections with professionalism, ethical actions, and service oriented approach.

December 2011:

Fred Blitt was selected by Collection Advisor Magazine as one of the top 25 most influential collection professionals in America.

November 2011:

CCB opens Nashville office.

October 2011:

Benjamin G. Lambert successfully passed the Tennessee Bar Exam.

September 2011:

Benjamin G. Lambert successfully passed the Mississippi Bar Exam and was sworn in by the Mississippi Supreme Court.

July 2011:

Lisa Meggs joins Firm as an Of Counsel Attorney in the Mississippi office.

Fred Blitt, as President of NARCA, spoke at the Annual Meeting of the Conference of Western Attorneys General (CWAG) in Kona, Hawaii about the role of “legal” debt collectors, the importance our profession plays to our nation’s credit based economy. The conference was attended by over 30 Attorneys General from across the United States.

J. Ward Conville presented a CLE course, Collections for the General Practitioner for the Jones County Bar Association in Laurel, MS.

June 2011:

Christopher J. Couch was selected to be a participant in the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute 2012 Leadership Program.

May 2011:

CCB relocates its Metro- New Orleans office to Benson Tower in Downtown New Orleans.

January 2011:

Christopher J. Couch spoke at the NARCA Attorney Meeting on Law Office Management- "Innovative Ways to Contain Costs", which was held in Tampa, FL.

J. Ward Conville acquired Michael Stillman’s interest in Firm and the name changed to Couch, Conville & Blitt.

October 2010:

Benjamin G. Lambert successfully passed the Louisiana Bar Exam and was sworn in by the Louisiana Supreme Court.

August 2010:

Benjamin G. Lambert joins the Firm as an Associate Attorney in the Metro- New Orleans office.

May 2010:

Christopher J. Couch was named by CityBusiness as one of the Top 50 Attorneys in the Metro-New Orleans Area for 2010.

October 2009:

Christopher J. Couch spoke at the Nationwide Credit Attorney Meeting on Law Office Management - "Discussion of Best Practices", which was held in San Francisco.

Christopher J. Couch was appointed as Parliamentarian to the President of NARCA, a National Association of law firms engaged in legal collection, for 2008-2009.

Christopher J. Couch was named by CityBusiness as one of the Top 50 Attorneys in the Metro-New Orleans Area for 2009.

Fred N. Blitt was elected as 2009-2011 President of NARCA, a National Association of law firms engaged in legal collection.

November 2008:

Christopher J. Couch was appointed as an Executive Council Member of the Boy Scouts of America Southeast Louisiana Council.

May 2008:

Christopher J Couch was selected by one of the nation’s largest lenders to launch a pilot program in Louisiana related to the enforcement of its security interests.

January 2008:

Couch, Stillman, Blitt & Conville was formed and began representing clients in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
